Jazz

 “Daxaar” is the latest collaboration between Steve Reid and Kieran Hebden (aka Four Tet) following on from their previous Domino albums: “Tongues” and “The Exchange Sessions” Volumes 1 + 2. This is a full band, deep, soulful Jazz record recorded in Senegal, Africa . The 1st track is reminiscent of Ry Cooder’s finest - but from there on it’s all jazz beats akin to Tinariwen and there are even some Battles-esque shapes thrown in!!
