Then the band came on...

When they play live there’s usually a couple more people in the band; this was the cut-down acoustic version.

That thing he’s playing is called a Monome 40h, it lights up and you can control individual parts of the music to great effect by following the lights as they travel.

Here’s when Scott and Chris from Midasuno came along to play an acoustic set for us at the launch of their mini CD Til Death Do Us Party. They brought a PA and a sound guy and they sounded ace, plus we think it was the hottest afternoon we’ve had in the shop.

So, William Elliott Whitmore came back to play in the shop a second time, and we reckon he was even better this time around, swapping between Banjo and Guitar and stamping his foot like crazy.

Then someone had the smart idea to go to The Gower Peninsula. So Spillers temporarily decamped to a caravan park outside Llangenith for one night only, managing to break down multiple times on the way back and spending most of the night on the B2495. Here’s Nick with William just before we set off:
