Buzzola have put together some great compilations, with remarakable titles such as ’Sugar in My Bowl (Vintage Sex Songs 1923 - 1952)’.

Championed by Andy Kershaw on Radio 3, these CDs take a theme such as drugs, sex, science fiction, booze, and compile Blues, early Rock n Roll, Country and Jump Jive songs about them.

The CDs are very nicely packaged in cardboard digipaks, with colour booklets and remastered songs throughout. A historical document and a fascinating listen.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As of July 2007 the CDs in this series are temporarily unavailable - it will be a few weeks before they come out again. You’re welcome to order but you will have to be prepared to wait for them to be shipped.
